CHICAGO – On the heels of one of the most controversial and closely watched presidential elections, Community TV Network youth went out the day before voting polls opened and interviewed several Chicagoans as they headed home for the day.
This clip is the result of that.
Included in the video is Jamal, a CTVN youth media student who is part of the After School Matters program. Here he is interviewing a Chicago commuter as he exits the CTA train station.
The short clip provides viewers a small sense of the political climate just days before voting.
Although it was a cold day in November, CTVN youth felt it was their civic duty to document what is now being considered an historic election; with one of the most unpredictable election turn outs in recent history.
CTVN youth realize now that the interviews conducted were in no way a wholesome documentation of what every Chicagoan felt that November 8th 2016.
As we install a new president CTVN youth wants everyone to remember that together we are stronger nation.
